SUMMARY:The Electric Gardens II: Lux Botanicum
DESCRIPTION:The Electric Gardens II: Lux Botanicum\nFriday 13 November to Sunday 6 December. \n\n\nBuilding on last winter’s successful first event\, this sensory experience will encourage families\, adults\, children and groups to walk through the darkened upper Botanic Gardens with dramatic lighting\, sound effects and music and look at the iconic Gardens in a different light. The magnificent Kibble Palace will once again be open throughout the event and have a few special entertainers and surprises.Michael Dale\, West End Festival director said: “We’re very excited to launch our second winter event\, The Electric Gardens II\, Lux Botanicum. For this event\, we’ve chosen to concentrate on the natural features of the Botanic Gardens\, one of Glasgow’s most attractive parks\, in particular the rarer trees\, the animals that live in the park and a series of specially created masks that have been hidden away for visitors to discover.“We received much positive and constructive feedback after last winter’s event\, which gave us new ideas and has helped us to improve the experience for the second event. We’ll have food and hot drinks available\, and we’ve also created an exciting new ‘fire theatre’ show which will be performed several times on stage every evening. \nThe Electric Gardens 2 will start on Friday 13 November and run from 5.30pm to 8pm Wednesday to Sunday with entry slots every 15 minutes. There are no shows on Mondays or Tuesdays. The last day is Sunday 6 December. \nIn response to comments from EG1 (Electric Gardens 1) the tickets are cheaper on Wednesdays and Thursdays\, and children under 5 are still free of charge\, although they need a ticket. Tickets start at £5 for a child (5 to 16)\, £8 for an adult and £25 for a family of four.\n \nYou can book online through the link below or you can ring TicketSource on 0333 666 3366. Payment is by credit or debit card only. There is a small booking fee added to your purchase. \nIn response to comments from EG1\, carers will be admitted free of charge with every full price ticket. Please let us know a few days in advance if you or anyone in your party is in a wheelchair. The park is accessible for wheelchairs. \nFor full Terms and Conditions. and other relevant information\, these can be found on the TicketSource website once you have chosen a day and time\, and ticked a relevant ticket price.
