SUMMARY:Discover The Stars
DESCRIPTION:Glasgow Botanic Gardens is part of the BBC Stargazing Live Discovery Night. The free event at the Botanic Gardens and the Auditorium in Oran Mor runs from 4.30pm until 9.00 pm on Wednesday 9 January 2013. Visitors will be able to take part in a variety of activities aimed at families and those with a keener interest in astronomy. There will be mini robot and comet making demonstrations on site and the chance for children to build a model of the solar system to take home. Experts will be talking about supernovae and space travel as well as offering Stargazing sessions outside in the Gardens. Due to the popularity of the activities some of the events we will be ticketed on the evening.  Further information is available at www.bbc.co.uk/thingstodo
