Event: Bat and Moth Night 2 September 2022

On Friday, 2nd September the wonderful people from Butterfly Conservation and Clyde Bat Group will be leading the engagement at the Moth and Bat night at Glasgow Botanic Gardens.

Join Butterfly Conservation for an amazing free opportunity to get close up views of moths and learn how to identify these mysterious creatures. Then, as the light falls, Clyde Bat Group will lead a walk using special electronic detectors to allow you to hear the bats calling as they hunt amongst the trees and buildings.

It is one of the highlights of the events calendar.

Volunteers from Butterfly Conservation will be there to show you some of the marvelous moths that have been trapped using a light trap in the gardens. This will be followed by a bat walk around the grounds, listening and looking out for the bats hunting insects as they fly overhead.
