‘Sun Over the Botanics’ events are your chance to see the surface of the sun safely. We bring along some special telescopes which are designed for looking at the sun, and allow you to see Sunspots, granulation and prominences round the circumference of the sun. The event is run by The Astronomical Society of Glasgow.
Richard Bains Curator of Logan Botanic Garden, talks about “The Past, Present and Future of Logan Botanic Garden” . The lecture takes place in the Boyd Orr Building at Glasgow University. Tickets are £5 to non members of the Friends of the Gardens and £3 to members. (Please note the change in date to the lecture programme)
